Creating pigment swatches is a great way to familiarize yourself with the pigments you are using

It will give you a better visual of the mass tone (color you see in the bottle) and undertone (color it will most likely heal to) of the pigment you are using

Keep in mind that the pigment will appear different on white paper compared to on the client's skin
